Classes Forming

It's still a little too early in the development of this Free University Project to outline exactly what classes may be forming at what time. This is also largely correlated to the student interest in given classes. We'd like to provide some form of instructional materials for a number of classes in time for Spring Semester 2001. Additionally, we'd like to have at least 2-5 actual classes (with student mailing lists, recitations in chat forums, problem sets, exams, etc.) this same semester to further push the process and provide some feedback for future development.

The subject matter of these initial classes will be developed according to the following criteria:

  1. Availability of faculty/staff with knowledge, experience, and interest in these subjects.
  2. Student interest (both perceived and expressed) in these subjects.
  3. Emphasis on core curricular subjects that could appeal to widest possible audience (this would essentially entail typical freshman year subjects).

Finally, we'd like to encourage you to express your interest in any given classes, by emailing us at class-requests@freeuniversityproject.org.
